Westboro Baptist Church pickets Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi and his band were picketed by Westboro Baptist Church.
The Christians were upset with Bon Jovi for not preaching the Bible to
their fans.

When rock band Bon Jovi performed at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, April 17, 2010 there were more than just fans there. The Westboro Baptist Church had pickets on scene to let Bon Jovi fans know that according to the Bible, God hates them and that "the end is come".
Westboro Baptist Church makes it their mission to picket and protest everything from funerals for dead American military members to churches that have women as pastors and church leaders.

Looking at Westboro Baptist Church, they are in line with the Bible. For example, they are against women having positions of authority. This is in line with many Bible teachings such as 1 Timothy 2:11-12 which says, "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. "
As far as their belief and claim that "the end is come", this is not Biblically sound. The Bible clearly says in several places, such as Matthew 10:23, that the return of Jesus would be in the Bible writer's time. Matthew 10:23 says that Jesus said he would return before his disciples "have gone over the cities of Israel". Of course, that would make the return of Jesus about 2,000 years ago!
Perhaps the Westboro Baptist Church is doing a service by preaching in such a high profile what the Bible actually says. This will educate people to the unreasonable teachings found throughout the Bible. This could help them realize the Bible could not be the "word of God" because its teachings are false and are in strong conflict with our God-given reason and reality.
